Awesome yoga practice with Shawn @Yoga on Yamhill. I chose to attend several yoga classes while in town. Had to miss another visit to Apple Store & Powell’s tonight, but totally happy today.
Portland is such a livable city. I even dropped by at Lululemon, some food truck, tried good coffee, doughnuts, and still managed to end my day with awesome vinyasa practice.
Shawn is such a humble teacher who lifted our spirit. We met outside the class earlier before class cuz I asked direction while he was doing some stretching in front of the building. Take care and wish you all the best! #portland #oregon #usatrip #yogi #solotravel

The trip to Nike factory outlet was worth it if you really like sports or are looking for some things. Prices can be half-priced than the prices in regular stores, especially if the box is torn. Plus, in Portland there’s no sales tax. #portland #oregon #usatrip #nike #solotravel

Excellent service from Powell’s bookstore. I come here every night to read after all other stores and supermarkets are already closed. It opens till 11pm. Today I finally made time to search for some books for Jakarta Book Club friends, but couldn’t find any of them on the customer’s self-finder computer. So I went to the information desk and asked. The staff said not all of the books that I found online are available in store. Then he suggested me to make an online order and gave me a free shipping coupon. When I was about to pay (2 hours later), I went to the cashier and had little chat with a female staff. As I was paying, I told her that I couldn’t find some books. She apologized and said, “I can give you a discount for your purchase today!” So she gave me 10% discount on my total spending. I did leave a bit disappointed, but they have taken extra miles to make sure I’ll come back for more. Well, in the US anyone can easily buy new/old books online, so I guess bookstores really need to keep their customer happy. #powells #portland #bookstore #booklover #usatrip

After I took this shot, a guy tap my shoulder from behind. “Don’t fall, ok,” he smiled. Then he was mimicking my pose a minute ago. Haha. A yogi is used to hold a tree pose for minutes ^^ #portland #usatrip #solotravel

The hotel provides nice amenities and extra services like day pass to the 24hour fitness and turn down service. 7″ Nexus tablet, 60+ TV channels, two wireless phones, free wifi for 5 devices and iPod dock make a guest like me stays connected and happy.

Enjoying my morning coffee while listening to country music and waiting for my phone to recharged. Will move soon to another hotel located downtown. This hotel is nice (I booked it from Hotwire) but located southeast, which means you have to take a bus ride to cross the bridge. In the map it looks like a straight 30 mins walk, but even if it’s just 4 bus stops you still need to pass the bridge. Happy Sunday!

Following Jakarta Book Club meetup from Skype on my iPad last night. The voice is clear. Technology is awesome if we can use it well. Turn up rate was down to 54%, maybe cuz people don’t feel like going to Kemang? Or because it was in a restaurant? #JBCmeetup
